Alexis Smith

Alexis Smith is the author of the novels Glaciers, a finalist for the Ken Kesey Award, and Marrow Islandwinner of a Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Award and a Lambda Literary Award. Her short fiction, essays, and interviews have appeared in Portland ReviewMossTin House, Bon Appétit, The Spokesman-Review, Portland Monthly, and elsewhere. Alexis studied literature at Mount Holyoke College and Portland State University, and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College. She is a visiting lecturer in EWU's MFA program, a bookseller, an obsessive gardener, and she's currently at work on two novels.
